This is the fifth year of the Dumfries and Galloway GaelForce Festival. This event, which covers a twelve week period from August until November, has grown in size and stature and is now rated as one of the most important festivals in Scotland. Contained within it are the various local folk festivals, the Creetown Country Weekend, which draws huge crowds, the popular Kirkcudbright Summer Festivities as well as performances by top-name stars that have included the likes of Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham, Scottish Opera, Borderline Theatre and much more. The festival is a major force in the tourist industry and attracts many tens of thousands of visitors into the region.

As a complement to the GaelForce Festival, Dumfries and Galloway Council are publishing a high quality, full colour magazine and guide to the many attractions. eighteen thousand of this A4 format maazine will be distributed FREE-OF-CHARGE throughout the region as well as in strategic outlets on roads, motorways and tourist offices outwith the region.

Because of the success of last year's magazine we are, for the second year, giving businesses the opportunity to advertise in this outstanding magazine. As an advertising medium the GaelForce Magazine is second to none. It has a three month life span, is free-of-charge and, most importantly, is well used. Don't miss the chance.
